Caerwylan Hotel - 2012 Tariff and General Information

Bedrooms: Our 24 comfortable, contemporary, en-suite bedrooms have been rebuilt to a high standard. We have a wide selection of beds: super king, king, four poster, double, twin and single. All bedrooms have double glazing, central heating, flat screen digital TVs, tea & coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and a hair dryer. Every en-suite has a shower, WC, hand basin, shaver point and toiletries. The majority also have a bath. Please see Caerwylan 2012 Room Details for specific information on each bedroom.

Executive Sea Facing Bedrooms: We have 6 Executive Bedrooms. These rooms are at the front of the hotel on the first and second floors and have large bay windows. The views of the sea, beach, castle and mountains are “wow”. The beds can either be configured as superkings or twins, except for Room 26, which has a romantic, wooden king sized sleigh bed, Fresh fruit & bottled water is provided on your arrival day and bathrobes for the duration of your stay are provided free of charge. Sole occupancy £120.00 per night.

Superior Sea Facing Bedrooms: There are 3 Superior Bedrooms. All 3 rooms are at the front of the hotel on the third floor with sea and mountain views. Whilst these rooms do not have bay windows the views are still very impressive. Sole occupancy £97.50 per night.

Standard Plus: There are 5 bedrooms in this group and all rooms are spacious. The beds can be configured as either superkings or twins. These rooms either face the castle or the town on the first, second and third floors. Sole occupancy £90.00 per night.

Standard Bedrooms: These 5 single and 5 double rooms either face the castle or the town on the first, second and third floors. Standard bedrooms are equipped to the same level as Standard Plus bedrooms the only difference is they are not as spacious. Sole occupancy of a Standard Double £78.50 per night.

Cancellation: For cancellations more than 72 hours prior to arrival we shall endeavour to re-let the room. If we are unable to do so we reserve the right to retain the deposit. In the unfortunate event of a cancellation within 72 hours of the 3 p.m. check in time, or of non-arrival or a curtailment of stay, we shall endeavour to re-let the room on your behalf. However, should we be unable to do so, it may be necessary to charge the full cost of the reserved accommodation. All guests are advised to take appropriate Insurance.

Afternoon Tea: Afternoon tea is available between 2pm and 4:30pm in our tranquil, sea facing lounge and in the summer months in the garden.

Bar: Our new contemporary bar serves a wide selection of wines, spirits, local beers and lagers. In the evening we serve light meals from 6pm until 8pm.

Breakfast: Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am. There is a buffet for starters which includes fruit juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt, a wide range of cereals and pastries. The main course is served by our friendly waiting on staff and can be either a hearty cooked breakfast with the main items sourced from reputable, local producers or Continental or Vegetarian.

Credit/Debit Cards: We accept Delta, Maestro, MasterCard, Solo, Visa, at no extra charge.

Deposit: £25.00 deposit per person is required at the time of booking. Please make cheques payable to the “Caerwylan hotel” or telephone 01766 522547 to quote your credit/debit card details.

Dinner: New for 2012. In the evening our elegant restaurant opens for dinner at 6 pm with last orders being taken between 8 and 9 pm, depending on the time of year. Our experienced Chef using local ingredients, as much as possible, freshly prepares all dishes. The a la carte menu changes with the seasons. The table d'hôte menu changes each day and is priced on a per course basis. One course costs £10.95, two courses cost £15.95 and three courses £19.95.

Garden: On the west side of the hotel, we have a pleasant south facing lawn with deckchairs and sun loungers. In the summer this is the ideal place to sit with a cool drink and relax.

Gift Packages: Fresh flowers, birthday cakes, wine or champagne can be ordered for that special occasion. Please enquire for further details.

Internet: Wireless Internet access is available in the public areas no extra cost. In the lounge there is a computer for guests to browse the web free of charge.

Lift: There is a lift to all floors. From the lift to the bedrooms there are approximately 6 stairs with handrail. If mobility is an issue, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Lunch: On a Sunday we serve a traditional roast lunch between noon and 2 p.m. During the rest of the week we have a selection of light meals & freshly prepared sandwiches available in the bar, sea facing lounge and in the summer in the garden.

Morning Coffee: Served from 10am morning coffee is available daily in our lovely sea facing lounge and in the summer months in the garden.

Parking: Subject to availability we have private garages @ £1.50 per night. Beach Bank is a one way public highway with no parking restrictions and on the Esplanade below there are no parking restrictions on the beach side of the road.

Pets: Sorry, we do not accept pets in the public areas or the bedrooms.

Sea Facing Lounge: On the ground floor at the front we have our new spacious lounge with outstanding views of Tremadog Bay and Criccieth Castle.

Smoking Policy: All bedrooms and public rooms are “No Smoking”.

VAT: All prices are quoted in £ sterling and include tax (VAT) at 20%.
